Okay let’s be realistic here. We’re the Backstreet Army. We used to be called the BSB CIA. We know things. We know things the Boys think we don’t know. Sometimes we know things the Boys think we shouldn’t know. It’s just the way it is. Every time there’s an announcement? We knew it already. I can’t remember the last time an announcement surprised us. (The fashion show performance? That’s the closest they came and even THAT we’d gotten wind of before they tweeted about it.)
So we should talk about the unreleased songs.
You know what songs I mean. The songs we hear about from writers, producers, various sources and even the Boys themselves at times. Songs we know exist but never make it on an album – even as a bside. There’s even instances where the songs were teased to us back in the days of PromoSquad playing 30 second clips of songs to test out the song and tease an album. Back before Spotify. This is why we know about the cover they did of Rumors during the Never Gone recording sessions.
We’ve asked at soundchecks.
We’ve asked on twitter.
They get asked in interviews!
“You guys already have all the songs on Youtube.” That’s what Kevin says.
I love you Kevin but no, you’re wrong. We the fandom, have a FULL LIST of the songs we’ve known about dating ALL the way back before the Millennium album. The group should be impressed. (Or scared.) There’s so much more you guys could release! It’s insane. We’re craving. WE WANT IT. Boys, if you’re reading this, you know how the fandom is. We’ll take anything. AN-Y-THING. You can just sell it through Itunes, or the Fanclub! Fans have agreed to even get a Kickstarter campaign going if that is what it will take to convince you guys to do this.
We’re literally ready to throw money at you.
Think about how happy you’d make us. Let me hit you with some major bonuses of releasing a compilation of the Unreleased Songs:
- We will pay BIG MONEY to make this happen.
- Digital Releases are a LOT easier than physical ones.
- What better way to drive up Fan Club membership than NEW MUSIC only members can buy? Talk about motivation
- It’ll create a buzz till the next album
- We’ll find something new to bug you about! But until we figure out what that next thing is, you’ll get a mini break?
And I’ll make it even easier. Here is the FULL list of unreleased songs that we know about, below. Feel free to add the songs we don’t know about to the future album. If it happens. And it should. Please? Pretty please? We love you.
